Woden CIT to close! What is the Future of Higher education in #Woden.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]WodenCITAs part of the Campus modernisation program (cink for CIT PDF Attached) at the Canberra institute of technology (CIT) and the recent announcement of a new Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) campus in Tuggeranong, this will mean the closure of the Woden CIT campus. CIT Courses at Woden will be transferred to other CIT campuses in Belconnen, Reid (Civic) and Tuggeranong in semesters 1 & 2 from 2016 with the remaining course(s) being relocated out of Woden by 2017.

The Woden Valley Community Council (WVCC) believes that a health related CIT facility should remain in Woden and had sent a letter to the former Education Minister Ms Joy Burch ( clink for letter to Joy Burch) asking ‘what is the future of higher education in Woden’.

On the 3rd November 2015 ABC’s 666 radio Breakfast presenter Phil Clark interviewed Martin Miller Woden Valley Community Council President and Dr Nicole Stenlake, Executive Director, CIT People & Organisational Governance at Canberra Institute of Technology about the Woden CIT Closure.
