The combined slides from all presentations made at the ACT RVRA Forum in July 24 are available with permission. Speakers were:
- ROGER PALLANT, Secretary, NSW RVRA (Keynote Address) Survey of the extent of psychological abuse in NSW RVs. Roger outlined the survey findings and key strategies to mitigate this issue.
- KAREN TOOHEY, ACT Disability, Community Services, Discrimination and Health Services Commissioner. Karen talked generally about RV resident issues she deals with, and the remedies she has available to address these problems.
- EMMA BRAGG, Tetlow Legal/ACT Law Society Committee Member. Emma explained Elder Law and Succession Law and how to access appropriate legal advice in these areas, and more generally.
- JENNY MOBBS, CEO, ACT Council on the Ageing Jenny spoke about the (Free) services COTA provides including public and private housing advice, elder abuse advice and assistance accessing financial and legal advice.
