The WVCC shares the concerns of the WCCC and the Inner South Community Council about traffic congestion on the main arterial road, from Woden to Civic. The NCA has propsed that a lane is removed from both directions of Commonwealth Avenue bridge.

The ACT Budget has confirmed that new traffic signals will be installed at the intersections of Eggleston Crescent /Hindmarsh Drive, Launceston Street/ Hindmarsh Drive and the Tuggeranong parkway off ramp slip lane /Hindmarsh Drive.
On Tuesday the 7th of June the ACT Government released its 2016/17 Budget. The Government is forecasting a Headline Net Operating deficit of $94.3 million in 2016-17, a deficit of $35 million in 2017-18, and a return to balance in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
