Zapari’s Brewer St DA202037991

The proposal provides for 288 apartments in a 16 storey tower on 0.257 hectares. Assuming an average of 2 people per apartment, this extrapolates to 2,241 people per hectare. This development needs to be reduced in height and bulk to contribute to the livability of the town centre.

The Oaks – stage 3 – DA202037978

The Oaks comprises three 16 storey towers and a 3 storey serviced apartment building located in the north of Woden between Ivy and Trilogy.

We are concerned about the increase in the height and scale of stage 3, the inclusion of a separate serviced apartment building in the place of green space and traffic flows around the north of Woden.

The opening of the Woden Experiment – Wednesday 6 March

On Wednesday 6 March the fence around the Woden Experiment will be removed and the street furniture and landscaping will be available for the enjoyment of the community. There are tables and chairs for meeting friends and there is a stage for artists to share their skills. We hope that plenty of buskers find the new furniture and landscaping a great place for playing music.

Geocon seeking reconsideration of the WOVA decision (DA 201833492) to increase the height of the building on Melrose Drive

We are seeking your support to send an email to the Planning Directorate stating your objections to increasing the already significant height of building 4 (on Melrose Drive) and the associated reduction in solar access to surrounding residents.

Amended WOVA proposal – submissions close 5 September 2018 Geocon applies to subdivide block – this will provide an additional 4 storeys on another tower.

The WVCC welcomes the changes to the WOVA development but believes there are some further improvements to the design to be made.  WOVA is a significant development and it is important that great outcomes are delivered to the Woden community.
