Hughes shopping centre upgrade

The ACT Government is seeking community  feedback on the Hughes shops to help inform the forward design study which is being prepared for the shopping centre. The forward design study is the first step to find out what the community wants for the public spaces at their shopping centre and what they consider important.[teaserbreak]

Views will be sought on issues such as public safety, parking, street furniture, signage, stormwater, lighting, landscaping and measures to help people move more easily around the shops.

Members of the community are invited to attend the following information sessions at Hughes shops:

  • Thursday 8 August 2013, 3 pm to 6 pm, or
  • Saturday 10 August 2013, 10 am to 1 pm.

Feedback received from the community will help inform a forward design study which is being prepared for the shopping centre. The forward design will be available for public comment later this year.

To provide feedback please complete the online survey.

The community is also invited to participate in focus groups, which are small group discussions, in the last week of August. If you would like to be part of a focus group, please call Beaconhill on 6161 0600 to register your interest.

For more information about the consultation please contact Beaconhill on 6161 0600 during business hours. Alternatively you can send comments to hughes@beaconhill.net.au

Consultation closes Friday 13 September 2013.
