Territory and Municipal Services (TAMS) are preparing for the future refurbishment of the public spaces of the Lyons Shops.
A Lyons Shopping Centre Forward Design Study is being prepared as the first step to find out what the Lyons community wants for their shopping centre and what they consider important. A key part of this Study is consultation with the community on issues such as the needs of pedestrians; traffic calming and lighting; landscaping; parking arrangements and artwork.

Preliminary plans are now complete. The plans were prepared using information from consultations with the Lyons community and will be used as a starting point for the final design for construction.
The final Preliminary Sketch Plans and the Lyons Forward Design Study Report are available online.
Construction of the upgrade is programmed for the 2009-10 financial year.
