In the week commencing 23 March 2015, Canberra Contractors will establish a site compound (see blue area on map) on the west side of the Section 9 car park closest to Melrose Drive. This will be in preparation for the car park closure in April and planned work to improve the Furzer Street Precinct. Following this, the Section 9 Permit Zone parking spaces (yellow map reference) will become paid parking as of 25 March 2015 until the closure of the car park.
Further advice is to be provided by the ACT Government on the date of closure of that car park. In line with the closure of this car park, the new multi-level Skypark Carpark south of the Woden Tradesman Union Club (red map reference) will be opened to the public and provide more than 940 car parks, including motorcycle and accessible parking spaces.
