1. 1. 1. Pre-DA Consultation Borrowdale House (former site of the Woden Post Office)
         [Block 54 section 8 49 Furzer St]
         This is a vital site for the future of the Town Square, as it is situated opposite Lovett Tower on the south-western corner of the square.
         Hamed Vaziri from Canberra Town Planning will be presenting current plans by the new owners for this location. This site is right on the Town Square, and adjacent to important public facilities such as the Phillip Health Centre, and the Woden Library.
         Come along and hear current plans for this site, which has such a significant bearing on the public realm in this central part of the Town Centre.
      2. Meet our new MLAs
         Following the recent ACT Assembly election, our electorate (Murrumbidgee) has two new members: Dr Marisa Paterson (ACT Labor) and Emma Davidson (ACT Greens).
         WVCC has invited Marisa and Emma to tell us a bit more about themselves, and to outline the ways in which they will be representing the interests and concerns of Murrumbidgee voters. There will be an opportunity for Q and A after each presentation.
      3. President and committee reports
         This has been a busy period, with multiple pre-DA consultations. President Dr Jenny Stewart will give a quick overview of the current state of play.
      4. WVCC Annual General Meeting
         Yes, it’s that time of year again. WVCC needs a President, Treasurer and Secretary, as well as Committee members to carry forward the Council’s advocacy work.
         If you would like to nominate for any of these positions, please fill in the nomination form on the WVCC website, and email it to the current President, or bring it with you to the meeting.
