The new Planning Bill has passed the Legislative Assembly with over 100 government and Greens amendments. It sets the frame for further work and will not come into force until later this year.
The District Strategy is among the documents on which the government is now working. The Territory Plan, design guides and other key documents are also being developed.
It is odd to just produce the car’s chassis without first settling the workings of the machinery.
However, the GNCA will keep working in the hope that something can be salvaged to create a planning framework that meets our community’s needs.
