The Annual General Meeting of the Woden Valley Community Council (WVCC) was held on 7 October 2009 at the Hellenic Club. The guest speaker was Paul Carmody, Consultation Manager for the Woden Green Joint Venture.

Over the past year, the WVCC has engaged with the Woden community and lobbied the ACT Government on a broad range of issues.
The Council has also provided input and comment on the refurbishment of public spaces such as the Lyons and Farrer shops and the former Melrose primary school site in Chifley.
The WVCC looks forward in the coming year to continuing to promote the interests of the Woden Valley community to enhance and improve the social, cultural, economic and environmental wellbeing of Woden Valley residents & community groups.
