Woden Valley Community Council – February 2010 Meeting

Mandir Ashram Pty Ltd has submitted a new development application to increase the capacity of teh proposed residential aged care facility in Farrer from 60 beds to 106 beds. A representative from Capital Architecture will give a presentation on the new plans for the extended residential aged care facility at the next meeting of the Woden Valley Community Council (WVCC).

David Quinlan, manager of road safety in Transport Planning in the ACT Department of Territory and Municipal Services, will update the council on the Transport Planning’s Safety Strategy. Rifaat Shoukrallah, senior manager of traffic management and safety at Roads ACT will brief the meeting on the trial of 40 km/h speed zones that will commence in early 2011 in the Woden Town Centre.

Woden residents are invited to attend the meeting to be informed on these issues, express their views and voice any concerns that they may have.
