Woden Valley Community Council Meeting, 3 August 2011

Mr Daniel Stewart, Director of Economic, Regional and Planning Branch in the Directorate of the Chief Minister and Cabinet will do a presentation on the Infrastructure Plan 2011-2021 at the meeting of the Woden Valley Community Council at 7.30 pm on Wednesday, 3 August 2011 in the Aegean Room in the Hellenic Club in Woden.

Mr Stewart’s presentation will focus on the key factors driving the Government’s decisions on infrastructure planning—for example:  population growth—aging population—changing demographics—new areas of settlement patterns etc.—and placing Woden infrastructure in context with the overall plan.  Mr Stewart will not be able to answer questions about specific projects.

At the meeting there will be a briefing on new developments on the proposed change of lease of the Pitch and Putt Golf Course site—and a report on the meeting of the Combined Community Councils hosted by the Belconnen Community Council on 23 July.

All are most welcome to attend the WVCC meeting on 3 August, to be informed and to express views on the various issues affecting Woden residents.
