Woden Valley Council Council (WVCC) has list four key priorities in its Budget 2015 -16 submission.
- The design and construction of a Woden valley community centre: WVCC understands that designs and potential sites have already been identified. Further consultation with Woden community is required.
- Funding for the construction of Wetlands on Yarralumla creek: Yarralumla creek has been identified as a priority area for the ACT Basin priority project, WVCC welcomes the allocation of funding through this program.
- An Enclosed aquatic facility for Woden: The state of Phillip pool and the move by the ACT Government for higher density in the town centre ,makes an enclosed pool for Woden highly desirable. This has been backed by two major consultant reports
- Upgrade of the Woden Bus interchange and associated transport infrastructure: With the Westfield Mall extension in doubt, the ACT Government needs to continue the upgrade and redesign of the Interchange without Westfield. Also continue the upgrade at Woden bus depot and bus lane priority measures along Athllon Drive and Yarra Glen/ Adelaide Avenue.
